Barbara J. Rynne-Hoyt is a dynamic litigator with over 20 years of trial experience. She began her career as a prosecutor, where she received extensive trial advocacy training and experience. She has tried over 100 jury trials as lead counsel. She provides her clients with strong and skilled advocacy, while maintaining a compassionate touch. Her strong courtroom presence and exceptional trial skills enable her to get the best possible outcome for her clients.
Over the past 10 years, Attorney Rynne-Hoyt has gained extensive experience in the area of family law, in particular domestic violence, having spent almost three years in the domestic violence unit of the Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Office. Upon entering private practice, she continued her work in that area, representing both victims of domestic violence as well as those wrongfully charged with abuse. She is routinely asked to speak on issues related to domestic violence at continuing legal education courses and other forums. In addition to domestic violence, Attorney Rynne-Hoyt now focuses her practice almost exclusively on family law matters, including divorce, child custody, support and equitable distribution. She has handled many different types of family law cases including international custody disputes and high net worth equitable distribution cases.
